20th Anniversary Gala Finale
Music speaks to the heart, and the best music inspires us to dance, laugh, weep, and love. In tribute to the power of music, we present a program of love, joy, and triumph. Listen to the poignant Hymn for the Innocent by Julie Giroux, then grab your partner for Selections from The Danserye, a joyful and courtly collection of 16th century dances by Tielman Susato, and Robert Russell Bennett’s classic Suite of Old American Dances. To round out our tribute to dances, The Wedding Dance is a lively hora from Jacques Press’s Hasseneh symphonic suite for orchestra.
Violinist Brynn Albanese once again joins the SLO Wind Orchestra in the world premiere of Tryptych, a work created expressly for her by SLO Winds Associate Conductor David Rackley.
Mingle with Brynn and the SLO Winds members after the concert for our gala 20th anniversary celebration with music, wine, refreshments, and appetizers on the patio next to the CPAC. Fun activities include a raffle and silent auction. Come join us for frivolity and fun and help us celebrate our anniversary on a high note!
